Return & Refund Policy
At Stateroots Apparel, your satisfaction matters. We want you to love every tee you order from us. Here's everything you need to know about returns and refunds.
Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- In its original condition with all tags attached
- In the original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or order confirmation email)
Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
How to Start a Return
- Email us at support@staterootsapparel.com within 30 days of delivery
- Include in your message:
- Order number
- Reason for return
- Photos (if the item is defective or damaged)
- We'll respond within 24 hours with approval and instructions
- If approved, we'll send you a prepaid return shipping label (FREE) and tell you where to ship the item
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund
Refunds
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method
- Allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account after we receive the item
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error)
- If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you haven't received your refund, please contact us at support@staterootsapparel.com
Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll evaluate the issue and make it right immediately — either a full refund or a free replacement at no extra cost to you, your choice.
Exchanges
We don't offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to get a different size, color, or design is to:
- Return the original item following the steps above
- Place a new order for the size/color you want
We recommend reviewing our size chart carefully before ordering to avoid the back-and-forth.
Non-Returnable Items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on:
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered by the customer
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Items without original tags or packaging
- Sale items (marked as final sale)
- Gift cards
Since each tee is custom-printed for you, please double-check your size and color before placing your order.
Cancellations
If you change your mind, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. After that, your tee may already be in production and we won't be able to cancel — but you can still return it once it arrives following the policy above.
Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking shows delivered but you didn't receive the package:
- Check with neighbors and your local post office first
- If still missing, email us at support@staterootsapparel.com within 7 days of the delivery date
- We'll work with the carrier to investigate and replace the order if confirmed lost
